Michael Dills-Allen, Ph.D., is the University Registrar at Lehigh University, joining the institution in May 2023. He brings to Lehigh over 15 years of progressive leadership experience in higher education administration, institutional research, and operational modernization.

As a proven strategist and communicator, Dr. Dills-Allen excels at managing complex programs and ensuring regulatory compliance across academic and governmental reporting. His professional focus centers on three key areas:

  • Technology and Compliance: Implementing robust electronic processes to decrease processing time and increase both student and faculty satisfaction. This includes experience with major SIS functionality, ADA compliance, and developing a mobile-friendly student experience.
  • Strategic Institutional Research: Using a background in institutional research and data analysis to provide data-driven metrics for determining strategic goals and influencing university policies.
  • Staff and Culture Development: Dedication to building strong teams by creating internal career paths, reducing staff turnover, and implementing strengths-based professional development to improve employee satisfaction and staff retention.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Dills-Allen led major offices at California State University, Chico, and Fresno Pacific University, where he oversaw multi-million dollar budgets and significantly modernized office communications, including utilizing text messaging and social media.

Dr. Dills-Allen holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education and master's degrees in Project Management, Business Administration, and Divinity.
