Notarization
The Office of the Registrar provides notary services to current Lehigh students and alumni for original documents produced within the office, such as Lehigh University issued official transcripts, diplomas, and enrollment/verification letters. (Electronic transcripts cannot be notarized).
The Office of the Registrar will produce and sign a letter attesting to the authenticity of your document. A notary will witness and verify the signature on the letter. Note: Same day notary services are not available.
To obtain a notarized document from Lehigh University:
Email ras@lehigh.edu with the email subject "Notary Services Request" and specify the following:
Full name at the time you were enrolled at Lehigh
Lehigh ID number, if known (9-digit number beginning with '8')
Date of birth
Document type to be notarized:
Official transcript
Diploma
Degree or enrollment verification letter
How notarized document should be returned to you
Regular mail- include best return address
In person pick up- office will notify you when documents are ready
Drop off or order the document(s) you need to have notarized:

Order Replacement Diploma (As an alternative, you can also email us a quality copy of your diploma)
If you are requesting a degree or enrollment verification letter, this will be created in office
Apostilles & State Certifications:
After your documents are notarized by the Office of the Registrar, students who require an Apostille or Certification for a foreign country or institution should follow the instructions set by the Pennsylvania Department of State. Information can be found at www.dos.pa.gov.
Please note that the Office of the Registrar does not mail documents to the Pennsylvania Department of State for apostille.
